We will taste the principal (and we’ll talk about why that term is problematic now!) 8 grape varieties, and by tasting these major grape varieties, we’ll explore the range of structural and aromatic profiles found in most wines. Consuming CO2! Join Our Daily Wine School in January for a course designed to dive deep into sparkling wines. We’ll explore 8 different sparklers. Among the 8 wines, we’ll explore a range of winemaking techniques, bubble-making techniques, grape varieties, and countries of origin. From the classics of Champagne and vineyards that make Prosecco to new regions (like Argentina!) and regions settling in for the long haul (like English sparkling wine!), wines that demonstrate the geographical range of sparklers will mark our syllabus.
